If you chance to meet a frown...
do not let it stay, quickly turn it upside down and smile that frown away! Tayler didn't feel happy about going to church a few weeks ago. I responded by telling him that going to church would make him happy. He was not convinced. So I suggested we try a little experiment - why not count the happy faces at church on Sunday. He thought this was a great idea and wanted me to go and fetch a little note book for him to record his observations - very scientific! These are his findings - he surveyed 28 people at church, each one is represented by a little face, he found out of the 28 people that 1 person had no expression at all, 2 had grumpy faces, and 25 people had smiley faces! Thank you Weston-super-Mare 1st Ward! My little boys faith was renewed in the power of going to church making you happy! Amazing to think that a smile can actually make a huge difference, it certainly did for my six year old! We followed up this activity with a family home evening discussing all the reasons why we are happy going to church and I think the boys really learnt from the whole experience.
