Mother's Day Weekend
We had so much fun this weekend. The biggest treat was to have Grannie and Grandpa come to stay. We love having them stay. The home comes alive when they arrive and we laugh, chat and play more. On Saturday we went to Blaize Castle together (the boys love the park) and then as a special treat Grannie and Grandpa treated us to Bella Italia. It was such a noisy vibrant restaurant and the food was really yummy - we'll be back for more spinage and ricotta cheese cannelloni.
Sunday was Mothers Day. The boys made me lovely cards which were fantastic, and I loved what they wrote inside. Tayler - 'Dear Mummy, thank you for my lunch' and Jarom - 'To mum, you show me that you love me in the things you do and I know I'm very lucky to have a mum like you, Love from Jarom'.
In primary Jarom was supposed to make a mothers day book mark. His version involved a huge battle with machine guns, and resulted in his bookmark being disposed of because it was unfit to be given to any mother. What can I say? Boys will be boys? That's not usually my motto, it's usually 'Boys will be Men!', but my boy was so good all weekend looking after Grannie and Grandpa that machine guns were easily forgiven.
After church we cooked a lovely roast pork dinner for mum with help from my boys of course - they made the caramelized apple sauce. The weekend went by too quickly. We're so glad we're meeting up again soon for easter.
